Potter's Lessons


Lesson Plan #1
Title:                Tools and items names           
Class:               I and II
Subject:           English
Practitioner:     Potter                                                  Facilitator: Luqman Nohri


Objectives
Demonstrate knowledge of the practice(pottery making)
Identify tools
Name different items
Usage of tools and items
Verbal  steps

Methodology
Warm up
Students seek information about the profession, identify different clay made items placed before them and know uses of the different tools and items.
Development
The practitioner demonstrates tools used in practice. He explains tools job and introduce one by one. Simultaneously, he shows students different items and tells about their usage.
The facilitator helps students in getting identified tools and their application. He also assists them in knowing different pottery items and their uses in daily life.   In the end the facilitator will ask the students to recall the names of different tools and items and write them. The facilitator will further assist them in making small verbal/ written sentences in their notebooks.

Conclusion:
The facilitators will wrap-up the lesson by reinforcing the names of tools and items in English language.

Title:                Drawing pictures        
Class:               Four
Subject:           Drawing
Practitioner:     Potter                                                  Facilitator: Luqman Nohri


Objectives
Demonstrate knowledge of the practice(pottery making)
Identify tools
Name different items
Draw pictures of pottery tools and items.
Methodology
Warm up
Students seek information about the profession, identify different clay made items placed before them and know shapes of the same.
Development
The practitioner demonstrates tools used in practice. He explains tools job and introduce one by one. Simultaneously, he shows students different items and tells about their shapes.
The facilitator helps students in identifying different pictures of some of the pottery items.. He also assists them in drawing different pottery items pictures on the papers.
  In the end the facilitator will ask the students to display the drawing they have made while observing the items placed before them and write their names. The facilitator will further assist them in making small verbal/ written sentences in their notebooks regarding these pictures.

Conclusion:
The facilitators will wrap-up the lesson by reinforcing the names and shapes of pottery items.

Identify different colors
Mixture of colors
Painting pots

Methodology
Warm up
Students seek information about the profession, identify different pottery items placed before them and know coloring and painting the same.
Development
The practitioner demonstrates tools used in practice. He explains items job and introduce one by one. Simultaneously, he shows students different items and tells about their beautification and coloring process. The facilitator helps students in identifying different colors and their mixing process He also assists them in painting different pottery items
  In the end the facilitator will ask the students to display the coloring they have made while beautifying the items placed before them and write their names. The facilitator will further assist them in making small verbal/ written sentences in their notebooks regarding these colors and paintings.

Conclusion:
The facilitators will wrap-up the lesson by reinforcing the names of colors and painting activity of the pottery items.

Objectives
Demonstrate knowledge of the practice of making toys from wet clay.
Mixing soil and water enabling to making simple toys.
 Making toys from clay.

Methodology
Warm up
Students seek information about the profession, identify different pottery items placed before them and know about making toys from soaked clay.
Development
The practitioner demonstrates different steps involved in making clay soaked delicate and appropriate for toys making. He explains things bit by bit. Simultaneously, he shows students different clay made toys and tells about their preparation stages.. The facilitator helps students in making toys and their different phases. He also assists them in  beautifying and improving the shapes
  In the end the facilitator will ask the students to display the toys they have made while engaged in the activity and write their names. The facilitator will further assist them in making small verbal/ written sentences in their notebooks regarding these clay made toys.
Conclusion:
The facilitators will wrap-up the lesson by reinforcing the toys making processes and names of different toys, the children like the most.
